Coming of Age Recruitment Contest

Coming of Age announced a new recruitment contest in June that can benefit your organization! Several years ago, Coming of Age offered a volunteer recruitment contest with cash prizes for INDIVIDUALS who recruited the most new volunteers for Coming of Age/RSVP. This year, Coming of Age will be offering something similar, but the cash prize goes directly to the AGENCY! Here are the details:

  • From July 1, 2017 through March 31, 2018, all active partner agencies (with an up-to-date Coming of Age MOU) are encouraged to have their current Coming of Age members recruit new Coming of Age volunteers (members.)
  • A minimum of 10 new Coming of Age members must be recruited for the participating agency to qualify.
  • Any agency staff person or Coming of Age member may recruit volunteers.
  • The new volunteer(s) must join Coming of Age, serve at least twice during the recruitment period (mentioned above) and report their volunteer activity to Coming of Age.
  • New volunteers must indicate the agency they are volunteering with on their Coming of Age membership form.
  • The name of the recruiter must also be included on the Coming of Age membership form.

The three agencies who recruit the most volunteers will receive $300 for 1st place, $200 for 2nd place and $100 for 3rd place. Winners will be notified and presented their awards at the 2018 Coming of Age Volunteer Recognition luncheon.

Benefits for Coming of Age volunteers have changed to include limited mileage reimbursement (up to $25 each month) for all volunteers, regardless of what type of volunteer activity they are doing. Coming of Age continues to offer excess accident medical coverage, volunteer liability and automobile liability insurance for all of the volunteers as well.
