Goodbye to Advisory Council/Board Members and Staff

This year we said goodbye to two amazing Advisory Council/Board members and one staff member.

(L to R: Coming of Age Board/Advisory Council President, Alice Latino and Graham Duncan)

Graham Duncan had been on the Advisory Council since 2009. He volunteered for Learning Ally and Austin Hospice. He received the 2006 Spirit of Service Award and in 2010, he received the Dr. & Mrs. John McKetta Community Spirit Award.  Thank you for your time and dedication to Coming of Age, you will be missed.

(L to R: Penny Cedel, Vice Chair, Kristina Williams and Fred Lugo, Director, Coming of Age)

Kristina Williams had been on the Board/Advisory Council for 4 years. She brought with her a passion for advocating for older adults. She earned her license to be a Nursing Home Administrator and worked with Quercencia at Barton Creek Life retirement community and at A Place for Mom’s Austin office. Her enthusiasm and energy will be missed.
Monica Flores-Rojo had been with Coming of Age filling the Administrative Assistant position for 4 years. She had previously worked for the State of Texas. She processed all the volunteer time sheets, managed the budgets, helped plan and coordinate the annual recognition luncheon and she kept the Coming of Age office organized. She will be hard to replace and we wish her well in her future endeavors.
