The Austin Symphony Orchestra

Founded in 1911, the Austin Symphony Orchestra is Austin’s oldest performing arts group. The ASO offers a complete season of musical and educational programming.

Volunteer Usher Program: The Austin Symphony is grateful for the efforts of more than 200 ushers, all volunteers who make the experience of attending an ASO performance a much more enjoyable one. Many arrive hours before the concert to insert fliers in programs, receive information on the evening’s program and assist in readying the concert hall for as many as 3,000 concertgoers who will begin arriving in the hour prior to the performance. Individuals who volunteer for this program make a season-long commitment.

Box Office Volunteers: The Austin Symphony Box Office is always looking for fun, energetic volunteers, 18-years or older, to help the night of performances. They need volunteers to help with Will Call, ticket sales and answer questions patrons might have in order to make their symphony experience an enjoyable one.
