The Friends of Austin State Supported Living Center (AuSSLC)

The Friends of Austin State Supported Living Center (AuSSLC) is recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic board members to further their goals and mission!

Their mission is to provide life enriching and personal growth opportunities for the residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities who call the center home. Specific roles and responsibilities include:
 

  • Supporting the needs of the residents of the AuSSLC
  • Evaluating existing programs.
  •  Assist in establishing goals, objectives, action plans, policies and procedures for the Friends of AuSSLC.
  • Supporting the Friends of AuSSLC sponsored events (Sips and Songs, Fall Festival and Tree of Lights, etc.) and especially through fundraising endeavors.
  • Monitor the Friends of AuSSLC operations, expenditures, and volunteer participation in programs to assure the most effective and economical use of human and financial resources.

You could plug into a committee (events and fundraising, finance, governance) or work on target areas like marketing and PR. They ask for 5 hours of your time per month with an increased commitment during events. Come join a dynamic, working board dedicated to individuals with disabilities.
