MLK Day of Service 2017

A new year brings new opportunities to serve! Join us as we show our commitment to helping others and working together as we assist the Central Texas Food Bank located at 6500 Metropolis Drive in honor of the MLK National Day of Service. The MLK Day of Service provides an opportunity to empower individuals, bridge barriers, create solutions to problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community.

The Central Texas Food Bank is the front line for hunger relief, working with 250 Partner Agencies in 21 counties across Central Texas. Last year, they provided more than 38 million pounds of food to needy families, serving approximately 46,000 each week.

Your help is needed January 16, 2017 from 1:30 to 4:30 PM in the product recovery room. Volunteers must be able to stay for the entire shift, wear closed toed shoes and be comfortable standing, walking and lifting.

Registration for this event must be completed online after contacting Dawn Sparks, Community Engagement Coordinator at 512-854-5873 or Thank you for your service!
