Travis County Neighborhood Conference Committee (NCC)

The Travis County Neighborhood Conference Committee (NCC) is seeking volunteer assistance to work with first County Logotime juvenile offenders. The NCC allows youth to resolve their misdemeanor offenses outside of the formal court systems and works with children ranging in age from 10 to 16.

Member volunteers are asked to sit in on the initial conference of the offender. They generally spend several hours assisting the case manager to determine if the youth will perform community service restitution, attend character or drug & alcohol awareness classes or attend a tour a juvenile detention center.

Initial conferences are held in the evenings and on Saturday in a downtown location with free parking. All volunteers are required to complete an application and must be willing and able to complete a criminal background check. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to sign up to make a difference in a child’s life!
